The goal of the 9th grade guidance program is to:  

  • Foster a sense of belonging
  • Introduce students to the high school experience
  • Educate students about valuable services and resources
  • Map a four-year academic plan

The goal of the 10th grade guidance program is to:  

  • Review graduation requirements
  • Prepare students for the PLAN test and to interpret results
  • Continue to encourage co-curricular participation
  • Introduce students to College and Career Center resources
  • Provide career exploration opportunities through the Career Speech Unit

  • Prepare students for standardized test (PSAT, ACT, SAT, PSAE, AP)
  • Guide students through post-secondary planning (college application process and career exploration
